Hello Romeo,
We hope that this finds you well and that you wife and
children are well and happy.
Thank you again for helping to make our first visit so
memorable. Your local knowledge, friendly smile and welcoming
personality are wonderful - as is your excellent command of
English! Your recommendation of July was also terrific - he
certainly kept us entertained with his funny stories. Please pass on our thanks
to "Juliet" !! too.
We will take the opportunity to recommend your services
to any of our family and friends who plan to visit Bali. Also, we
would be happy for you to use our comments as a testimonial for your
website.
Again, our warm thanks,
Michael, Megan, Simon and Gabrielle.

Just returned from Bali and what an amazing time I had. Stayed in Tanjung Benoa at the Kind Villa Bintang which I loved but others in the group thought it was just so so. The Best restaurant was Bumbu Bali just across the street, what amazing food. The highlight of my trip was the monkey forest in Ubud. That was a very unique experience, although I went with trepidation after reading some of the posts on tripadvisor.
The guide that I had told me not to worry as the monkeys are very well cared for and not aggresive. I have to mention the guide that I used because he made my trip unbelievable. Actually I don't have the words that can truly express the experience he gave me. His english was as good as mine and the history and culture of Bali that he shared made a great trip one that will never be beat. Please use him if your planning a trip you will never regret it. His name is Romeo of romeotoursbali.com. You may also contact me if you have any questions.
This is a post that I put on trip advisor after my trip to Bali. Romeo was the best and he will make your trip memorable as he did mine. 12/07/2011

Romeo, Romeo where for out thou Romeo? This is what I didn't have to call out during our tours as Romeo is the most reliable gentleman you could ever hope to meet!
Our trip to Bali was our first time overseas and came about very quickly! So when my friend Hannah, who has previously been to Bali twice, gave a sterling report of Romeo and highly recommended I contact him, I did. I was a little nervous as we were leaving the following week! Hannah gave me this website to contact Romeo through and I sent him a message. Romeo's prompt reply made me feel more at ease as over the next few days he and I messaged back and forth until we had some dates booked. Despite the short notice, Romeo actually reorganised his schedule so he could take me and my boyfriend Ben on a few day tours! I thoroughly appreciated this and my friend Hannah's impression of Romeo certainly proved an accurate one, as I cannot speak more highly of him. Thank you Hannah!!!
On our first day with Romeo, my boyfriend and I didn't want to be late. So we got ourselves organised early and came down to the hotel lobby. Romeo was already there, patiently waiting for us and half an hour early. Our first impression was of this well dressed and attractive man who warmly offered us his open hand to shake is that Romeo is a true gentleman. He will open the car door for us and then offer us bottles of water which he keeps cool in the back of his new well air-conditioned vehicle. Romeo opened the car door for me and then closed it behind me, and then offered my boyfriend Ben the same treatment, surely this is why he is aptly named Romeo!
Our first day trip Romeo took us to places in Bali where arts and crafts were made. Being an art enthusiast, this was right up my alley and we saw beautiful paintings, hand-woven clothes and linen, gold and silver. Romeo is not only patient but thoughtful, knowing intuitively when to join in with us or stay back and was an amazing source of knowledge when he next took us through the temple and enlightened us with Balinese culture. Afterwards we went to the Bali Safari and Marine Park where we jumped cue as Romeo had already pre-booked our elephant ride and tickets in. We were left to explore the park on our own as Romeo reassured us he was fine and happy to wait. I believe he must have had some lunch in the meantime. The park itself I have never seen anything like it! It offers more interactive experiences with animals like tigers, orang-utans and elephants. We were impressed with how clean and organised it seemed to be kept. Romeo had mentioned two restaurants within the park and had suggested we eat lunch at the Tsavo Lion Restaurant, which was right next to the lion enclosure. The food not only was delicious but very affordable and with an amazing up-close view of the lions. Romeo was patiently waiting for us when all our activities were done and again offered us cold bottles of water on the way back to the hotel. My decision to contact Romeo was well justified. My boyfriend raved about Romeo that night and he and I both looked forward to our next tour which took place the day after the next.
We found Romeo again patiently waiting for us with cold bottles of water. Romeo took us through a beautiful part of Bali in Nusa Dua deliberately just to show us the sights, despite there being a toll Romeo had to pay. We drove down to a place which had many boats and organised the day's activities. First we went out in a glass bottomed boat to go snorkeling, and then out to Turtle Island where we held Turtles and Birds, bats and snakes. We came back via boat where we met up with our friend and he happily took photos of Ben and I parasailing. With nothing too much trouble for Romeo he took us to the surf factory outlets for shopping on the way back to the hotel. He drove past a spa and recommended it as a wonderful place to be pampered, which we declined as we were having too much fun listening to his stories and jokes.
The following day Romeo was not available but still organised some transport for us that night to have a romantic sunset dinner on the Kedonganan Beach of Jimbaran Bay where we were entertained by musicians and Balinese dancers while eating delicious seafood.
A few days later we transferred from Seminyak to a hotel in Ubud. We both looked forward to seeing Romeo again and preoccupied ourselves in Ubud with white-water rafting and the Elephant Park (highly recommendable!) Romeo came to collect us the following morning where he took us to the Elephant Temple and then past Ketut Liyer's House of the medicine man from Julia Roberts movie "Eat, Pray Love" before continuing on to the monkey forest, which before leaving home for our trip I had researched and found scary reviews of monkeys who bite and steal your handbag. Not the case! In the forest where Romeo took us, the monkeys were well fed and therefore more passive towards the tourists. Romeo took us through the forest, taught us how to interact with the monkeys and then showed us the graveyard and temple atop the forest explaining more Balinese culture and teaching us more phrases. Next Romeo drove us through the most beautiful rice fields and we took many photos before stopping at the famous coffee plantation where the mongoose eats the berries that turn into the world renowned coffee.
Sadly this is the part in the adventure where my boyfriend Ben started to feel very sick. Luckily Doctor Romeo came to the rescue and had some tablets on him to help with side effects of the dreadful Bali Belly, which Ben believes he got from drinking the watered down orange juice at our hotel that morning for breakfast. He then took us back to our hotel only stopping for more tablets to give to Ben. That night Ben was violently ill, with stomach issues and a dangerously high temperature. Following Romeos advice Ben took the tablets every two hours with lots of water and we broke the fever with ice. The tablets worked so well, that symptoms had actually subsided within 24hours and the following morning we canceled our hotel transfer and Romeo came and picked us up so we could spend our last day in Bali with our new friend. This day was more relaxed and we spent our time together looking at different shops with Romeo like furniture and music stores and we talked about home and Romeo about his family and interests, always joking and making us laugh. One last pancake together before he dropped us off at the airport. Saying goodbye was really sad so we promise to get back to Bali as soon as we can. Ben and I miss you so much Romeo!
So for everyone else reading this here is my recommendation. You may have a great time in Bali regardless of whether or not you have Romeo as a guide, for Bali is truly a beautiful place enriched in culture and diversity. But you will have an absolutely wondrous time with Romeo. He took us to some of the most amazing places I have ever seen. He took our humble days and made them magical. He is the one part of Bali I wish I could take home with me. Professionally not only is Romeo always on time but often we would emerge from our hotel rooms early to find our friend already patiently awaiting us with cool refreshing bottles of water . He is courteous, generous, caring and kind. On a personal level he is charming, humble, funny and friendly. I am convinced after talking to other friends about Bali Belly that if it had not been for Romeo, Ben would have ended up in hospital in Bali and we wouldn't have make our flight home! Thank you for everything Romeo, we think you are amazing xox

Romeo is an experienced, reliable, honest and friendly Driver/Guide for your holiday on the paradise island of Bali. We met Romeo via friends who recommended him to us. We have visited Bali twice and used his services both times.
Always greeted with a beautiful Balinese smile; his English is excellent, learned from study and working in the hotel industry. He is very knowledgeable about local attractions, traditions and culture and will share this with you as he shows you around; he also gives you plenty of time to explore alone and always watches out for you.
Romeo is always on hand, offering a cold water; that he has in the car; showing you the best photo shot or he will take photo's of your family together and regularly offering a bathroom break. Romeo has a great sense of humour and was fantastic with our teenage sons. He is very flexible and will tailor the tour specifically for you. He's always happy to answer any questions and no request is too much for him.
We look forward to returning to Bali and meeting Romeo again.

If you want the best tour guide than look no further.
Romeo was the best. We loved his sense of humor his jokes and he just put us all at ease. We didnt want to be conned into spending any money on someone that didnt speak or just seemed to be doing a job he didnt like and so when Romeo's number was passed onto us we rang him and we havent looked back. We made a friend that trip not just another balinese tour guide.
He took us anywhere we wanted go and even suggested some really good spots to take us. Gave us good advice what to do and even was happy to spend time with us and talk with us like we were his friends to.
Always was on time and very cheap rates for a very sexy driver with a sexy new car (that's what he would say every day and we would laugh) Nothing seemed to hard for romeo and he was very good with the kids parcticularly when we went to the monkey forest.
We have no hesitation in recomending him to any family that wants a safe and secure, friendly tour guide around beautiful bali.
Will see you again our new Balinese friend.

We were on the main street in Kuta looking for a taxi when Romeo, looking very neatly dressed, stepped up and asked if we needed a taxi. His open, friendly face, huge smile, natural confidence and courtesy immediately put us at ease. We had had a ho-hum experience a few days previously with another tour guide so were looking to avoid a repeat.
We found Romeo's large car was comfortable and clean and he handled the traffic very well. However, the best part of this taxi service was Romeo himself! - humorous, knowledgeable, very friendly and speaking excellent English. (We wished we could speak another language like that) His knowledge of Bali and sensitivity to what we might find interesting was excellent.
In a word, Romeo is quite an outstanding person.
We will definitely be booking Romeo as our taxi and tour guide next time we are in Bali.

There is no other!
Taking a look at our awesome Bali pictures, we realized again how great our two tours with Romeo were. His inside knowledge, reliability, jokes and airconditioned car made every trip a special one.
Romeo shows you the special spots at a good price! Explicit Recommendation!
Thank you so much Romeo!

We moved to Asia a few months ago and our first holiday trip took us to Bali. While we were searching for what to look at we found Romeo's name on one of the Hungarian websites as a well recommended tour guide in Bali.
He worked out a tour plan for that met our interest and time. Our two sons initially preferred being on the beach to going for a tour but thanks to Romeo all of us enjoyed the tour. We did appreciate that he helped us with tips at visiting the monkey forest or other places, gave advice what a reasonable price was for gifts we wanted to buy and mostly when we had an argument within the family where to go next and he, without asking, adjusted the tour plan to accommodate all our requests.
We finally spent one and a half days with Romeo. Our one week in Bali was one of our best holidays.
Thanks Romeo!

I can thoroughly recommend Romeo -our guardian angel in Bali. He is an amazing tour guide. Romeo is an absolute gentleman with a great sense of humour and a very safe, courteous driver.
Nothing was too much trouble for him. His local knowledge was invaluable and ensured that we didn't waste precious time getting lost or being ripped off by 'dodgy' money-changers. Romeo introduced us to Balinese culture, history and religion in a uniquely personal way. It's obvious he is very proud of his culture - and rightly so!
A conventional bus tour could not get near what we experienced. His grasp of Aussie slang was amazing and reassured us that he understood what we required.
All was pleasantly good for the budget with a very reasonable $45 for a day's driving - for up to 7 people.
Thank you so much Romeo. You're a legend! Ann (from Australia, June 2011)

What a fantastic day we had with Romeo.
Nothing is too much trouble for him and he goes out of his way to provide you with everything you need and anywhere you want to go.
We will recomend him to everyone and will continue to go back to him when we return to Bali.
The transport is comfortable and stylish in a new Toyota. Water is provided and icy cold in the back.
Thanks for a great day Romeo!

If you are Australian, Romeo is a complete choice as a Balinese driver. He has a lot of the slang down pat and eases through the mind-bending traffic without raising one hair on your head. But he can "chuck a uuey" with the best of them and still look after his near new shiny and very comfortable 7 place Toyota.
Don't be put off by his romantic Romeo name. He'll explain how he came by that and only puts "honey round his mouth" when with his wife or baby daughter. As a true Bali native, and having that lovely Balinese respect for others,[wish they'd export some of it!!] he'll oblige you until it hurts!!
Need to stop for wine or cash money? No problem. He's also a gold- mine of info on the local scene.
We had three of his tours and enjoyed the variety and the "digging in" to the real Bali. We more or less let him map out the tours for us but will always remember the peace and beauty of the mountain in the clouds and the final "good-bye" tour to Jimbaran Bay for the fish dinner on the beach with sunset thrown in, and transport to the airport for the midnight red-eye.
Oh, so you're not Australian!! Well he also speaks Japanese and German!! His tour cost is per car. This means $45 [full day] for any number up to 7. A bargain!!! May your gods protect you Romeo!! Val and Ian Bundaberg.

We
planned our Honey Moon for Bali for a long time – and during our
research we came across several recommendations for Romeo as driver in
Bali.
We
made contact with Romeo through his website, and he was our driver for
five days. Never
late (and in Bali traffic that’s remarkable!), always attentive with
many many great ideas and input which made our trip so much more
exiting, interesting and beautiful.
Especially
we recommend his very special Bali Real Tour, where you truly
experience the real beauty of the island, the people and the nature,
which is so much more than beaches and shops. See hot springs in the
middle of the jungle, take a walk along the most beautiful and
impressive rice fields, see the fruits of the forest and experience
temples high up in the mountains –a wonderful tour.
We
can only give our most heartwarming recommendations to Romeo as a
reliable driver, who is born and raised in Bali, with a huge knowledge
of the island and its gems. Your Danish friend Rikke & Per

Hi Romeo, this is Eva and Eszter from Budapest. We wanted to say thank you one more time for all your help and guidance in Bali. We had an amazing time and are very grateful that we found you as we do believe that you made our journey a thousand times more valuable.
Thank you for showing us not only the breathtaking Balinese temples and natural beauty of the island, but more so for showing us the real face of Bali, its culture, religion and people.
I warmheartedly recommend Romeo to anyone who wants to see and get to know Bali, as Romeo is not only a driver, he is a guide who knows the story behind all the places we visited, and as he is local, we couldn't ask a question he did not have an answer ready in his pocket.
We are lucky we met you and hope that faith will be gracious enough to us to meet you again in life. Until then, I wish you and your family all the very best!
Terima kasih!

What can I say? Romeo,
you made a trip that was going to be good, perfect! Travelling with my
partner who was a little apprehensive, you helped me show Ben how truly
amazing Bali is.
Romeo picked us up on New Years eve, welcomed
by a smile, hug and an air-conditioned car. Not to mention the ice cold
water! Driving through the roads and streets of Bali Romeo gave us an
over view of what to do and what not to do when shopping and walking
around. He also gave us some insight into great restaurants, hidden
shopping alleys and tours he could do for us. He dropped us at the
hotel and promptly said 'I will meet you here tomorrow at 9am!' the
following day Romeo took us to Nusa Dua where we parasailed,
snorkelled, went to turtle island and went on the flying fish! It was
full of laughter and amazement. A few days later he drove us once
again in his wonderful clean car to 'The Rock Bar' which was absolutely
stunning at sunset, then onto a romantic dinner on the beach. Amazing! We
also had a full tour day at white water rafting and then the marine and
safari park. White water rafting was hilarious, we couldn't stop
laughing especially when our instructor yelled out 'Boom Boom!' The
lunch provided after was so delicious. The marine and safari park was
loads of fun, lots to see and do, including a roller coaster,
orang-utans, piraņa, white tigers and the highlight, an elephant back
ride. We then changed hotels into Ubud. Romeo picked us up and on
the way we tried Luwak Copi (Coffee said to be the best in the world!). On our very last day in Bali, we had the lovely pleasure of taking Romeo out to the 'Bubba Gump' resturant to say thankyou.
Throughout the trip Romeo taught us so much about way of life, religion and culture of Bali. we have recommended Romeo to everyone we know and meet!
We cant wait to come back. Not just for a holiday but to visit our friend, Romeo.
We miss you!
Thanks again mate, Hannah and Ben.

Before
travelling to Bali we were reading a lot about Bali in Hungarian travel
forums and found his name and contact information there. He was
recommended to choose him as a tour guide. We were getting interested
in him and checked his website, read through testimonials. Based on
those many good recommendations we decided to choose Romeo to be our
tour guide in Bali. We sent him an e-mail and he replied soon. We
discussed the possible tour options and prices and agreed on those
quickly. Actually we accepted everything because he recommended
interesting places and had reasonable prices.
In
Bali he picked us up at our hotel and he took us to many-many wonderful
places during those 5 days that we spent together with him. We were in
Safari Park, Orchid Garden, Monkey Forest, Uluwatu, Tanah Lot, at rice
terraces, Batur Volcano and Lake, we saw wonderful fruit plantation. He
also booked an elephant ride for us that we enjoyed very much.
With
Romeo we could see real Bali he took and showed us countryside and
remote villages. We are sure we couldn't have seen those interesting
places on a tour that is organized by a travel agency. So we highly
recommend to choose a personal tour guide and choose Romeo. He is a
very friendly, honest man with a fluent English and great sense of
humour. We felt very good while we were with him. We looked for a tour
guide and we found a very good friend.
We are planning to return to Bali in the future and it's sure that we would like Romeo to be our driver again.
Terima kasih Romeo

Thankyou Romeo,
We
had a wonderful time as you as our driver. We wanted a more traditional
view of Bali and we got it through your experience, culture, and keen
sense of humour. Your hints, tips and knowledge made our trip very
memorable and rewarding.
When you dropped us off at the airport, we felt like we left a friend behind. Thankyou again my friend.

Hello Romeo!
Thank
you so much for the incredible Bali experience you provided us!
We were expecting a "driver" for the day, but what we received was so
much more!
Your sense of humour made the day lots of
fun. You were a friend for the day and made us feel very
comfortable on our tour. And, not only were you extremely
knowledgeable about Bali and Balinese culture, you were also more than
willing to share with us. I can tell you that we learned more
about Bali in eight hours with you than we did during the rest of our
time in Bali! You seemed to know just where to stop for the
perfect photo, and your connections made the tour stops incredibly
smooth and friendly.
Despite the weather, we had a great day with you and would not hesitate to recommend your tour service to others visiting Bali.
Thanks again,
Holly and Mike :) Canada

dear romeo...
you
made our holiday what it was, and it was fantastic. we had no idea what
to expect but you made us feel so at home even though we were in
another country. thankyou so much for the time and effort you put
into organising our day trips and taking us to all the fabulous places
that you did. we miss you already!!! xoxoxo
not only is romeo
the most handsome (hahaha) tour driver in bali, but also the funniest
guy we have met! and he has the best taste in music... romeo is such a genuine person,he is worth his weight in gold!! worth every rupiah!!! we
were recommended to use romeo by our aunt/uncle and he was every bit as
fantastic as they said. we recommend romeo to any and everyone visiting
bali wether it be a first time or not.
romeo was only too happy
to explain everything as we went along to different places, and he so
patiently waited while we took our time exploring. he gave us many tips on bartering and do's and not to do's in bali, with good advice on what to do in our spare time the
best tour romeo organised was deffinately the bali safari marine park
where we got to play with baby orangutangs and ride elephants, also the
kecak dance and sunset seafood dinner.
so romeo we love you!!and thankyou... see you next holiday mate!

My
husband and i have just returned from our first trip to Bali, where we
spent a wonderful 9 days and i have to say our experience wouldn't have
been half as great if we didn't have Romeo as our tour driver.
Romeo
was recommended to us by my husbands work colleague, we first contacted
him via email and quickly received a reply, we were very impressed with
his english and eagerness to make our holiday extra special, we let him
know what we were interested in doing and what suggestions he may have
and he put together some great tours.
We first met Romeo when he
picked us up from our hotel for our first tour, he greeted us with
his warm friendly smile in his clean, airconditioned car with
cold water on hand. with in seconds his great humor and wonderful
personality were apparent and we knew we hit the jackpot!
We
went to Uluwatu temple then to Jimbaran bay for a romantic dinner on
the beach that Romeo had set up for our wedding anniversary . Our next
rip was white water rafting and then he took us to the safari marine
park for an elephant ride and so we could see all the other animals
too. we also went on a tour to Ubud stopping at different points of
interest including the Hindu temple, wood carving, sliver making, rice
terrace and then too the monkey forest where we hand feed the monkeys
bananas. we were also going to see the volcano but the weather wasn't
very good that day so we had to give it a miss, Romeo was so upset we
were going to miss it, we didnt mind we were having a great time but he
cared so much, instead he took us to a great restaurant with the most
beautiful view of rice terraces and delicious food. On every tour
Romeo shared his great knowledge of his homeland and we were always
laughing at his jokes and aussie slang.
Apart from all the tours
with him he set us up with a friend for water sports at Benoa who
gave us a great deal and looked after us, he booked a day boat trip to
Lembognan Island for us and when the tour company could drop us off
Romeo did. We would highly recommend Romeo to anyone seeking a
fantastic tour guide because that is what he is FANTASTIC!! He truly
made our holiday all the more special and fun because hes not only your
tour guide but your friend and we were honestly sad when our time with
him came to an end, but we will be returning to Bali and will no doubt
use his services again. we cant wait!!

We
contacted Romeo after noting a number of very positive reports on
Tripadvisor, and I am very glad we chose him to show us some of his
beautiful island of Bali during our, too short, trip.
We had
advised him that we wanted to visit the temple at Pura Besakih and
asked if he could suggest anything else that we might like to see.
Romeo suggested we might like to have lunch overlooking the Batur
Volcano, and possibly he would show us some points of interest along
the way.
He collected us at out hotel, where incidentally he
used to work as a barman, and we were impressed with his cheerful
demeanour and cleanliness and quality of his car. We made our way to
the Volcano , stopping briefly at a wood carver and a coffee
plantation, we had already indicated that we didn't want to stop off at
too many tourist traps but would be happy to see anything he thought
might be of interest, these places certainly were, especially the
coffee plantation.
There are numerous restaurants overlooking
the volcano and the one Romeo suggested not only had a great view but
an excellent, reasonably priced buffet lunch. We made our way to the
temple and Romeo warned us the local guides could be very pushy, and
whilst he was not allowed to take us round he gave us invaluable advice
and even indicitive prices, he certainly made sure we were not ripped
off.
On our way back we asked if he could suggest a nice seafood
restaurant on the beach, not only did he do so but he took us there
free and ensured we had a good table he even arranged a free ride back
to our hotel, oh and the food was great.
This was not our first
trip to Bali, or even our first driver, but it is our first
recomendation. Romeo is a very pleasant man who clearly enjoys his
"job" and is a wealth of knowledge. His tips and advice were invaluable
and he got the balance of making sure we were not ripped off but also
ensuring that his fellow countrymen were also dealt with fairly.
Thanks once again Romeo, we will certainly use your services when we return to Bali, and we wish you and family every success.
John & Ice, Bangkok, Thailand.

We
were expecting a great tour guide and driver that also can be a good
friend of ours when we were in Bali for the whole 14 days there in July
2010. I read about him in a Hungarian forum, he was the driver of a
Hungarian young couple. We are very pleased, Romeo is a really good
driver. He knows how to entertain his clients. He really guide you
about everything and bring you everywhere you want to be or even find
way to get what you want to find in Bali. He is so friendly and he can
help take good photos too. He speaks really good English too. We knew a
lot about Bali from him. He also brought us to the place where we can
shop conveniently, the place where we can buy a lot but with less
payment. He knows where we can spend our money valuably, to Bali Safari
what the children loved! His price was very reasonable, we accepted
it. He has a very clean and comfortable Toyota, he picked up us in the
hotel, he was there always in time. He even prepared a cooler stored
with bottled water for us during our tours. We would be lost without
him. He took us to lovely places, rice terraces, volcano, Bali safari
park. We are thinking of going back to Bali in a few years and we are
definitely going to see Romeo again! If you are looking for a really
frendly and good and safe driver please contact Romeo he is the best
ever, highly recommended!

We
spent our honeymoon on Bali. First we went to an organized full day
private tour which was ok and professional, but we wanted to see places
not so crowded with less tourists and take our time instead of aligning
to the tight tour schedule. Browsing comments on Bali we found
Romeo who was already recommended by travellers and contacted him
before departure. He picked us up at the hotel, he immediately
understood what is that we are after, so he took us to see the real
Bali, remote villages and beautiful rice fields almost avoided by other
drivers. On the next days he took us to the Orchid Garden, Monkey
Forest, Bali Bird and Reptile Park, he took us tho do some snorkeling
and to see the Turtle Island, and after taking us to see Kecak dance
performance at Ulu Watu Temple he also organized us a wonderful
honeymoon Jimbaran Seefood dinner on the beach. Romeo is very
intelligent, proatcive, has very good English; spacious, nice and clean
car with full AC; safe driver and he knows the shortcuts :-) . Really
made it an experience.
Thank you, we wish you all the best and hope to see yo again...
Don't forget to take your wife to the KFC :-)

We
arrived for the first time in bali to a friendly smiling face holding
our namecard. We instantly felt at ease as you welcomed us to bali with
a nice cold water and lovely clean airconditioned car. Our ride to our
hotel was a real eye opener to the traffic and what looked like no road
rules but your driving and exlanations put us at ease.
My first
contact with Romeo was through email as i found his details on trip
advisor.I informed Romeo of the few places that we wanted to go and do,
within a day I had recieved a email back with his recomendations and
prices which sounded great. Romeo kept in contact untill our arrival
which was great.
On our first full day out Romeo arrived on time at
the hotel explained to us the days program and had his esky full of
cold water for us Thoughout the day Romeo was very informative and
explained so much to us and we became aware of his great english skills
and wicked sence of humour.
Our second day with Romeo ended up being
a very long one, more than ten hours but not once did Romeo try to
increase his price like i have read a lot of other drivers do, but we
would of been more than happy to pay more, this just go's to show what
a honest couteous man he is. On this day we did white water rafting
among other things and was absoloutly fantastic! would highly
recomended it.
Our third day with Romeo was a half a day shopping, which was great romeo went to great places and we got some bargins.
Our
fourth day with Romeo was our last day and with a flight leaving after
midnight we were worried what we were going to do but Romeo recomended
a four o clock pick up from our hotel after check out and our most
amazing last evening had started. Romeo drove us to ullawata temple to
watch the sunset and recomended we stay to watch the dance which was
fantastic. After we were taken to a fantastic restuarent at Jimmbarim
bay where we ate our last meal in Bali on the beach with a candlelit
seafood dinner. The timing was perfect as when we were finished it was
nearly time to go.
We would highly recommend Romeo for your time in
Bali, you will not find a more honest, friendly, courteous driver with
a great sence of humour.
Thank you so much Romeo Jodie & Paul Mitchell Adelaide SA

Hi Romeo, It
was so nice to meet you and have you as our guide and friend! I think I
speak for all of us who were in the group you met, when saying we had
an excellent time in Bali and a lot of that sentiment has to do with
the fact that we had an awesome tourist guide! :-)
I don't
know when but at least Justin and I will be returning to Bali over and
over again... and we'll make sure we contact you to take us around the
place!
Thanks again for the arak, all the useful tips, local
knowledge, fun trips, translations, funny jokes and friendship.... oh
and that amazing air conditioner system in your car hehehe :-) Hope you
and your family are well and happy!!! :-) cya soon hopefully......

Looking through the photographs taken during our time in Bali makes our heart appreciate more in having you as our tourguide.
To
know how you have patiently take us around, telling us history, facts
and stories about your home-country, singing to Bon Jovi's "Living on a
prayer", buying me babi guling rice because I desperately wanted to try
it! Hahahaha. (Made, saya nak makan nasi babi guling lagi! Bungkus and kirimkan ke Malaysia.)
You've
the funniest, most charming & caring tourist guide and a friend
we've come to know and will always fondly remember in Bali.
It
is a blessing to have you take 1 malaysian, 1 bruneian and 1 vietnamese
around this beautiful country. We hope to come back again and trust me,
whether its 3 of us together back to bali, or one of us, we (I) will
still give you a call and anticipate more amazing places from you to
amaze us (me).
Hopefully, next trip back to Bali, we can meet Frangipani and your beautiful wife. (...and I can eat babi guling again!!)
Take
care and may your business as a tour guide continues to flourish and
blesses more visitors around the world everytime they visit amazing
Bali.

My
husband and I were introduced to 'Romeo' by Wes & Sue whom we met
holidaying in Bali a few years back. We have returned to Bail twice
since then & utilised 'Romeo's' services.
He caters to
your every need, nothing is too much trouble, there is always a smile,
a joke & good time had when travelling with Romeo.
I
always recommend his services to anyone I hear is coming to Bali,
driving with Romeo adds to the holiday experience, we always have a lot
of laughs!!! Hard working, caring & honest & a great singer in
the car when you travel!!!

Our
party of 4 enjoyed a wonderful day in a mutually negotiated day's tour
throughout Bali visiting coffee plantation, silver factory, Ubud
markets, batik factory and the volcano.
Romeo was a charming informative host who we would not have any hesitation in refcommending his services to anyone.
He
was willing to adapt to our itinerary and schedule and is extremely
flexible in his outlook ensuring that his passengers receive a safe and
enjoyable travel experience.

I'm
so blessed I was guided, entertained, taken care of and driven around
by Romeo (what a sexy name for a good-looking man! :-)) for the whole
Bali trip.
I was really amazed by Romeo's English command, as
much as how deep his knowledge about Bali's history, culture, food and
everything else. I felt like I belong to Bali after 4 days here.
Romeo
brought a big surprise to me and my friends, especially Narcea, for
organising a unique yet unforgettable birthday party for her at
Jimberan beach. The trip was totally satisfactory.
I am sure I'd come back next year and definitely Romeo will become my trustworthy tour guide again.
Sunny.

We
struck gold with our choice of driver. We chose ‘Romeo’ from the list
of drivers on the Tripadvisor forum. He was excellent! He was so
friendly and courteous with a great sense of humour. He needed it, as
the poor guy was left waiting for us at the Safari and Marine Park well
after closing time. (we got lost and then had to sort out the
collection of some photos) Romeo thought we had been eaten by the
lions! With a cheeky smile, he told us that it was the last time he
would tell his customers to ‘take their time’.
There
are lots of fantastic drivers in Bali, but If you are looking for a
great driver with good English, who is caring and has a great sense of
humour, then Romeo is our recommendation.

We
are regular visitors to Bali and have used a number of tour guides over
the years but none compare to Romeo. He was recommended to us by some
of our friends and now we would not use anyone else he is part of our
bali family.
His local knowledge is so informative but most of
all his sense of humour will gaurantee you will have the time of your
life. Romeos car is well maintained always clean and the air
conditioning is great, if you have ever been to Bali you will know how
important that is.
We have recommended Romeo to a lot of
people travelling from Australia also people we have met in Bali and
have never heard a negative comment.
If you can get Romeo as your driver a great day out is gauranteed.

We
love coming to Bali and seeing Romeos smiling face to greet us. Romeo
is always happy and talkative. He aims to please his customers and
nothing is too much trouble for him. He is very easy to contact on his
mobile phone by text to arrange pick up. He has very competitive full
and half day trip rates and is in no rush, so you can take your time at
your destinations.
He speaks and understands English very well,
alot better than most of the other locals. Romeo always has clean
transport and takes pride in his job. We recommend him to our family
and friends without hesitation. He has become more a friend than our
driver.

We
hired a driver to take us for the day, our driver was Romeo and we got
him from the drivers guide on Tripadvisor. He was Fantastic!!! he
arrived early and the car was spotless, his english was great and he
had an excellent sense of humour, he was very honest about places could
take us and which ones he would get a commission from etc.
We
went to the elephant park and also Ubud. He came with us into the
monkey forest and was our guide, negotiated cheaper banana's and showed
us how to feed the monkeys so they would climb on our laps, we also saw
some lovely rice paddies and learnt alot about the balinese people.
He was such a highlight of bali for us and would highly recommend him to anyone.

Romeo
MOTHER FATHER CHAMPION has been our saying now for about 10
years. As reading the other testimonies we met romeo at Villa
bintang in 2000 were we spent 17 nights nights there, as for romeo
he was great in the sunken bar whatever drink/cocktail you desired
you would get non stop laughs, unbelievable friendship, even then before
becoming a tour driver his knowledge about bali was breathtaking.
Funny
enough i said to my then girlfriend this guy should be a tour
guide and also mentioned it to Romeo but he would say
"BANKRUT".Any way were returned in a few years but villa bintang
was under reno's and found out he was doing tours and of course
we automatically booked him in for most of the week.
Weve
been back 3 times this year the last time it was for my wifes 30th
and 12 of us went including our 2 year old daughter. He was
fantastic he even organised a baby sitter he has know since he was
a youngster, she was also great.Romeo get ready were coming again
on 4th november we will contact you via sms of time to pick us up
from the airport.

Romeo is een fantastische gids!
Wij
band.

We
used Romeo's services as personal driver, chauffeur and holiday
guide for four days in September/October 2009. He is a charming
young man very punctual who looked after us extremely well. His
car was always extremely well turned out, clean and in good
working order. (Including the much needed aircon.) It was also
well equipped with cold water and all the other essentials for
transporting an ageing English couple round his beautiful island.
The
only thing he couldn't fix was the weather and the "temple in
the mist" (should have been the water temple!) was a delight just
to see poor Romeo so embarrassed!!
We will definitely use his services again if we return to Bali and would certainly recommend his services to anyone.
Thanks Romeo.

Hi Romeo,
We
want to thank you so much for our fantastic day with you last week.
From the moment you collected us until the moment you dropped us off
you were so professional and fun. Your advice and explanation of your
wonderful island and it's culture was invaluable and made our holiday
so great. Our only regret is that we did not have time to use you
again.
We will definitely pass your name on to others and cannot wait to see you again.

Beautiful Bali is our second home and people like Romeo help to make it so.
We highly recommend his trips for touring or shopping, you will be well looked after. We wouldn't use anybody else.

We
have just returned from our 13th trip to bali (1st time in 1980) and
met Romeo through his wife who works at Febri's where we were staying.
I am a musician and wanted to catch as many jazz bands as possible.
There is no publication that tells tourists where different bands are
playing. Made(romeo) was very helpful in advising us where to go. (he
should do a monthly publication advising tourists where the bands play)
He
also took us on a tour to Tanah Lot. He is very helpful and
knowledgeable about whatever is going on and his prices are
competitive.
We are planning another trip to Bali next May2010 and I will have no hesitation in engaging Romeo for all my tours.
Keep up the good work. Peter & Christine Austin Australia.

Romeo,
we thank you for the fantastic guiding and company that you provided us
under our honeymoon. During our travels we always aim for coming to
know the culture and the background of the given place the most deeply,
but we have never had the pleasure to meet an authentic guide like you,
and who became our friend under these few days.
We can recommend
Romeo to all Hungarian travellers, on the one hand because of his
fantastic personality, on the other hand because of his distinguished
knowledge of English. You can find many drivers in Bali, but it is not
worth to try something else you wont find more entertaining and
more intelligent tour guide than Romeo!
We hope we can return to this amazing, really special island soon, and then we wont hesitate to choose anybody else but you! :-)
Romeo, we wish you the best and see you soon:

As
many of these testimonials indicate, we also meet Romeo on our first
trip to Bali in 2001, while staying at the Villa Bintang. We where
there with two other couples and the boys are guilty of helping Romeo
and Rocky to learn English, all the slang and innuendos. It was always
a pleasure to catch up with the them every afternoon at the pool bar to
have chat and joke. As everyone knows we love our beer cold and it did
not take Romeo and Rocky long to work out the routine of the long neck
of Bintang in the freezer to keep it ice cold. As always
our 14 fabulous days ended much to soon and the friendships formed,
made it hard to leave. Even though we longed to return sooner, life's
circumstances did not allow this until this year. Upon our
return to Bali and the Villa Bintang this year it was a pleasure
to catch up with Rocky who gladly put us in touch with Romeo who we
discovered had ventured out into the transport world. Romeo was more
than willing to accommodate our wishes and we spent a few wonderful
days being shown sites that Romeo thought we would like, and we did.
Romeo was very informative, explaining the history or legend behind
every sight he showed us. Romeo's easy going manner put us at ease and
made the days most enjoyable, nothing was too hard. We
have been in touch with Romeo via email on a number of occasion since
our return (April 2009) and have not hesitated in recommending his
services to friends and acquaintances who are about to visit Bali. We look forward to our next trip to Bali planned for later this year and again catching up with Romeo

We have just had our first trip to Bali and of
course had no idea what was on offer and what to see and do first. Romeo was recommended through the Bali Travel Forum and proved to be an
excellent driver and guide for our time in Bali. He was always ready and willing
to take us wherever we wanted to go and also had plenty of suggestions of places
we might like to see.
We took a few tours with Romeo and were never
disappointed. Romeo has excellent English, a friendly fun personality and
a wicked "Aussie" sense of humour. His knowledge of Bali and his want to
educate us made Romeo much more than just a driver. He has become a family
friend for life.
Romeo took us to meet his daughter, sadly though his wife was
not there on the day we visited however it was a real treat to share his home
with him for a short visit. We would recommend Romeo to EVERYONE that is
planning a visit to Bali.
Thanks you Romeo for helping to make our holiday
the great time it was.

We enjoyed
very much the driving by Romeo when we were holidaying in Bali with our
children. He was knowing very much in the area of scenic driving we
think. On times we were not very sure where to be going yet, but Romeo
was suggesting to us several daily excursions which we went on. The
enjoyment was much and the children were so very pleased to be laughing
with Romeo and ourselves.
We
will be going back again next winter and will see Romeo again for his
driving service in tour guiding. We will recommend him to the tourist
people who need some help.

We found Romeo on Trip Advisor here in Australia
and we are so glad we did. This was our
first trip to Bali and we couldn't have asked for a more professional,
courteous, knowledgeable person than
Romeo. His kind and relaxing manner made us at ease right away. He has extensive knowledge of his homeland, is a safe
driver with wonderful English.
We highly
recommend anyone who is thinking of using his services as he is not at all
pushy, has great suggestions on what to see and is overall a wonderful guy.

We
have been to Bali the Island of Paradise 11 times, we first went in
1999 and stayed at the Villa Bintang where we met this Trainee called
Made Romeo who was learning English but all the wrong way as the
Aussies thought is funny to teach him the wrong sayings. We put him
right and became his Aussie parents. His Uncle took us on our first
tours of Bali and on Made's day off we took him with us up to Lovina
with Made as our personal guide as his Uncle could not speak much
English. We stayed every year at the Villa Bintang until they were
closed for renovations and we found the Kumala Pantai, but we still got
Made to take us around and introduced him to some new clients from the
Kumala who were all very impressed with his friendliness, his commentary
and his clean and comfortable car. He has a wonderful wife Komang
and daughter Regina (Frangapani) as Made calls her. So if you need
transport for your tour around Bali do not hesitate to contact
our Made Romeo for the true experience of Bali the Island of the Gods.I
really admire Made as well as English he can speak Japanese and German,
he is very clever.

"Romeo, Romeo, where fore art thou Romeo" was the
our only thought as we entered the arrivals hall at Denpasar airport. And there
he was with his engaging smile and an attitude that said nothing was a problem.
Romeo (Made to his family) was recommended to us by friends and he proved to be
an excellent driver and guide for our time in Bali. He was not only ready and
willing to take us wherever we wanted to go but had plenty of suggestions of
places we might like to see, the better times to be there and advice on places
we could go that were a little off the beaten track. We took up several of those
suggestions and were never disappointed. With his excellent English and bright
personality (not to mention a wicked sense of humour) he was just a delight to
spend time with and indeed, learn from - his knowledge of all things Bali and
his willingness to share that information made Romeo much more than just a
driver. His number is permanently in our contacts list for our next trip/trips
to Bali.

Romeo,
we met you in 2001, we were on our 6th trip to Bali and this time we
stayed at your boutique resort in Tanjung Benoa where you were the head
barman. With your cheeky smile, quirky sense of humour it was
always a highlight to see you at the pool bar, to share a drink a joke
and even a serious conversation, your speech and understanding of the
english language was very refreshing.
We
have been back to Bali on several occasions since 2001 and we always
make certain to catch up with Romeo and just say hi. When
back in
Australia we always receive and return text messages monthly.
He
has now started a new career as a tourist driver, (self employed) and
my family and friends have used his services on many
occasions.
He had driven family to the top end of Bali to Lovina as well as
hiring him as our driver for the day. He is very informative,
friendly and professional. Not to mention passionate about
his
home land, Bali.
It
is a true pleasure to have met and befriended such a person as Romeo,
he has made our holidays and lives even more special and he will
continue to do so.
Thank you Romeo,

Talk about a wolf in sheep’s clothing!!!! I think Romeo is actually an
Aussie disguised as an Indonesian! And he’s got the cheek of an Aussie
too, but not the same old attitude that a lot of the local drivers can
have. He is more than willing to give you suggestions, and then, he is
more than flexible in accommodating what you want to do. If they don’t
match, then that’s fine, he will still provide you with a unique
perspective on all things in the Island of the Gods.
Romeo has a way of endearing himself to even the most uptight of all
travelers. Eventually, everybody lets their hair down and you feel like
your just being shown around by an old friend.
His car is always clean and cool, and safe. The local constabulary only
stops him occasionally to say “Hullo”. If you were to drive yourself,
you would be pulled up regularly and expensively. No police, No insane
traffic headaches, just good commentary, good connections with the
locals and a sense of humour.
You wouldn’t know it, but Romeo is new in the business, so be gentle
with him and we can help him rule the world.
THANKS HEAPS ROMEO! You turned our Bali “trip” into the Bali
“EXPERIENCE”

We
have
been to Bali six times and for us the highlight of each trip has been
the time we spend with Romeo. He made us feel so welcome when we first
arrived and he was never pushy, just a very genuine nice guy with a
fantastic sense of humor. He has given us the opportunity to see such
amazing things and we have learnt a lot about Bali's culture and
traditions from
him.
Romeo is always really friendly and happy to take you
where ever
you would like to go. He will listen to your idea's about where you
would like to go and then he will offer suggestions of the best way to
see these places in the time that you have. The white water rafting is
a must, it's so much
fun! He has also offered some suggestions to go to
some fantastic places we probably would never have thought of
ourselves. That's the thing about Romeo. He learns pretty quickly what
you like and dont like to do and then he personalises your tours to fit
in with your tastes.
One of the most memorable trips was to his home village near
Sideman. We played with the kids and we still talk about it now!
Romeo
has become a life long friend of ours and we can't
wait to get back to see him again soon.

We have visited Bali 9 times
now and were lucky enough to meet ‘Romeo’ (I Made) on our
first trip there in 1999. Back then Romeo was working at a Hotel in
Nusa Dua behind the bar. His infectious humour and cheeky wit made him
popular amongst all the guests, particularly the Australian and English
tourists. A few years ago Romeo, with the assistance of his family,
bought a new vehicle to chauffeur tourists around the popular spots in
Bali. (The SV style vehicle is air-conditioned and is always clean).
Of course we
were amongst his earliest customers and we quickly experienced Romeo’s
incredible depth of local knowledge always delivered in a professional
but amusing manner. Romeo is not at all pushy (not like some of the
locals) and his integrity is without question.
We have even
visited Romeo’s home village and met the fantastic flock of children
with their great big smiles. I think that they thought we were from
another planet as they don’t see a lot of tourists there. Over the
years Romeo has taken us to see many of the local attractions but also
many places not always frequented by the first time tourists and it has
been those one day trips that have been the most memorable. If you get
a chance to get out of the shopping precincts and want to see the “real
Bali” then you need not only the motivation but also a trustworthy
& well versed local. In our case it is Romeo (I think a nick
name probably given to him by an Aussie). Not all drivers in Bali can
keep you interested and make you laugh while you are sightseeing in
this tropical paradise like Romeo. We have recommend Romeo to other
friends who tell us that they were grateful to have met such a nice
young guy making a go of it.
